Members and guests of Colne Valley Lodge No. 1645 gathered in Slaithwaite last night for the installation meeting of the Lodge’s new Worshipful Master.
WB Mike Gibbins was duly installed into the Chair of King Solomon during a well-attended and memorable ceremony. The installation was conducted by WB Adrian Ploughman, with assistance from WB Chris Connolly, who acted as Installing Director of Ceremonies. The ceremony was carried out to a very high standard and was warmly received by all present.
The Lodge was honoured to welcome WB Dr Craig L. Johnson, Grand Communications Officer, who attended as the personal representative of the Provincial Grand Master of Yorkshire West Riding, adding further distinction to the occasion.
During the meeting, Bro Graham Robin was installed as Senior Warden, and Bro Howard Copley was installed as Junior Warden. The junior brethren played a significant role in the proceedings and were widely praised for the excellence of their ritual work.
Following the formal proceedings, brethren and guests enjoyed a convivial festive board, where speeches were delivered and warmly received, contributing to the celebratory atmosphere of the evening.
The installation meeting was widely regarded as a great success and marked a truly memorable occasion for Colne Valley Lodge as it begins a new Masonic year under the leadership of its newly installed Worshipful Master.
